Cheesy Garlic Bread

Ingredients

How to Prepare

   Ciabatta or Italian bread (1 loaf)

   Asiago cheese (½ cup – shredded)

   Fontina cheese (½ cup – shredded)

   Parmesan cheese (½ cup – shredded)

   Mozzarella cheese (1 cup – shredded)

   Romano cheese (½ cup – shredded)

   Butter (1 stick – melted)

   Garlic (4 – 5 cloves)

   Onion (1 – large)

   Vito & Joe’s Extra Virgin Olive Oil

   Freshly ground black pepper 

   Parsley (~ ¼ cup – freshly chopped)

   Salt (to taste)

    

 

 

Steps:
  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. 
  2. Finely slice the onion. 
  3. In a large cast iron pan, put 1/3 cup of Vito & Joe’s Extra Virgin Olive Oil and heat on high. 
  4. Place the sliced onions in a pan and cover for 3 -5 minutes. Stir. 
  5. Lightly cover the onions and continue to heat for another 30 minutes until the onions caramelize.
  6. In a large bowl, mix all of the cheeses together.
    1. Set aside. 
  7. While the onions are cooking, slice your bread length-wise, horizontally.

  8. In a food processor, place your melted butter, 5 cloves of garlic, about 1/8 cup of your parsley and 1/3 cup of Vito & Joe’s Extra Virgin Olive Oil. 
  9. Pulse the ingredients for 30 – 40 seconds. 
  10. Add a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. 
  11. Pulse for another 1 -2 minutes. Enjoy!
