Chocolate Brownies


How to Prepare

   Eggs (4)

   Sugar (1 cup)

   Coffee (¼ cup)

   Vanilla extract (1 ½ tsp.)

   Flour (1 cup)

   Walnuts (1 cup) (If desired)

   Baking powder (1 tsp.)

   Butter (12 tbsp.)

   Semi-sweet chocolate (5 oz.)

   Unsweetened chocolate (5 oz.)










  1. Warm some water in a pot on the stove.
  2. Place a large glass serving bowl on top. 
  3. Add the chocolate to the glass bowl. 
  4. Slowly stir with a spatula to melt it completely.
  5. In an electric mixer, whip the eggs and sugar for about 3 minutes/ until creamy.
  6. Add the vanilla, coffee and baking powder.
  7. Mix on the lowest setting.
  8. Very slowly add in the flour.
  9. When the chocolate is creamy, add in the butter. Stir until mixed.
  10. Remove the chocolate from the stove. 
  11. Pour the chocolate into the egg batter. 
    1. Mix by hand until smooth. 
    2. Fold in the nuts if desired.
  12. Butter an 8 x 12 pan.
  13. Line the pan with parchment paper and pour in the batter. 
  14. Spread the batter evenly and bake for 25 minutes. 
    1. Check with a knife to continue cooking if necessary. 
  15. When done, remove from the oven. 
  16. Life the parchment paper with the brownies and cut them into squares.
  17. Serve plain å la mode. Enjoy!
