Steamed Mussels


How to Prepare

   Mussels (2 bags – rinsed and set in cold         water)

   Wine (1 full glass)

   Ciabatta bread

   Onion (½)

   Garlic (2 cloves)

   Butter (4 tbsp.)

   Olive oil




   Freshly ground black pepper (couple of           cranks)


  1. Coat the bottom of a pan with olive oil.
  2. Add the onion, garlic, rosemary, thyme, and wine to the pan.
  3. Cook everything down.
  4. Add the butter and let it melt.
  5. Add the parsley, a couple cranks of the ground black pepper, some more wine and the mussels. 
    1. Cover!
    2. Set for 10 minutes. 
  6. While the mussels are cooking, toast the ciabatta bread olive oil and rub with garlic.
    1. Set aside.
  7. Strain the mussels and set them in a bowl.
  8. In a separate bowl, pour in some of the leftover sauce and serve with the ciabatta bread. Enjoy!
