The Bombardino

Ingredients

Custard: 

  • 8 egg yolks

  • 8 tsp. of sugar 

  • 1 tsp. of vanilla 

  • Pinch of cinnamon 

  • Pinch of nutmeg 

  • Salt

Drink: 

  • 8 oz. of Brandy 

  • 2 cups of Whole Milk 

Whipped Cream: 

  • 2 cups of Heavy whipping cream 

  • 2 tbsp. of Sugar

  • 1 tbsp. of Mascarpone cheese 

  • 1 tsp. of Vanilla 

How to Prepare

  1. In a mixer, put in the heavy whipping cream, add in the cheese, sugar and vanilla until soft peaks occur.

  2. Place whipped cream in refrigerator to set.

  3. In a mixer, add in 8 egg yolks, sugar and mix until creamy.

  4. Add cinnamon, vanilla and nutmeg.

  5. Whip it again.

  6. In a pan, bring water to a boil and place the mixing bowl with custard over the top and give it a whip.

  7. Add in a splash of brandy to the custard.

  8. Once warm, add milk to the custard and whisk.

  9. Afters a few minutes, remove from the heat.

  10. Serve in a glass, add whipped cream on top and garnish with cinnamon.
